For those who love Maremma and Tuscany, a visit to the Marsiliana Estate is an immersion in the history and unspoiled nature of this land.
At the Marsiliana Estate, property of the Corsini family since 1759, take a guided visit of the Castle, winery, and the new Farm Museum.
From the heights of the tower, enjoy a complete panorama of the land from Talamone to Montemerano, from Scansano to Manciano. On clear days when the wind blows from the north, the horizon is bordered by mountains that seem to transform the Tyrrhenian Sea into a mountain lake.
The Corsini family has opened a part of the castle to the public, which may be visited in a guided tour together with the new Farm Museum and the wine cellar.
The visit begins in the castle, winding around the tower, whose stone structure and crenellated battlements lend it an austere, medieval air.
Of particular interest is the small church that once served local religious functions; and the Farm Museum, designed and furnished in every detail by the Princess Corsini. The four rooms of the tower evoke the daily life of long ago, allowing the guest to breathe the atmosphere of rural life in Maremma in the 1800s. The visit continues into the wine cellar where the wines age in barrels, undergoing their slow transformation as the flavors and aromas evolve over time. Next, in the room that once held the olive mill is a wine and olive oil tasting of products made in Marsiliana and Villa Le Corti in Chianti Classico. Next to this room, an enormous oven once stood, today a Shop where one may buy all the products of Principe Corsini and Maremma gastronomic specialties.
